Meet the Founder
Founder & Lead AttorneySean O’Neal
Raised in a pastor’s home, Sean has long understood the important role a church can play in people’s lives. After more than a decade working for the world’s largest law firms representing Fortune 5 companies in courts across the country, he founded Canon Legal to bring thoughtful, practical legal support to churches and families.
He earned his BA from Thomas Aquinas College in Ojai, California, with an emphasis on theology and philosophy. Sean then graduated from William & Mary Law School in Williamsburg, Virginia.
Sean is passionate about helping churches build healthy foundations so they can continue caring for their communities, and about guiding families through important decisions with clarity and intention.
